Classes are a way to classify your customers. Aside from being a way to organize your customers in reports, classes also have two additional features.
- When the "Show in SO" flag is checked, any user entering a sales order for this customer will be notified of the customer's class. This message will show the name and description of the customer's class.
- The priority field is very important when your system is configured to automatically allocate inventory based on customer class. In this situation, customers that are assigned a class with a priority of one will receive goods before customers that are assigned a class with a priority of two, for example.
