User Maintenance

Purpose

This interface is used to create and edit the users that have access to your Acclamare system. Here you can create new user accounts, edit existing accounts, and make accounts inactive. This screen contains all of the settings that an administrator can assign to a user. These include settings for security, customizations, email, and third-party integration.

There are a few other settings that users have access to for their own account. Those settings are available in the desktop client. For more information about what users can change for themselves, please see this article.

Fields

  • Name: This field is the user's user name. When logging into the Acclamare client with a user name and password, this is the user name that the system will verify. If used for this purpose, this field cannot contain spaces.
  • Password: This field is the user's password. When logging into the Acclamare client with a user name and password, this is the password that the system will verify. All passwords are encrypted in the database.
  • Active: When checked, the user is considered active and can access the Acclamare client. When unchecked, the user is no longer active and no longer has access to Acclamare. Often, a user account cannot be deleted because it will be tied to other records in the database. Setting a user to inactive can have the same desired results as deleting them from the system.
  • System Identity: When logging into the Acclamare client using your Windows Identity, this is the value that will be used. This will be the same user name that is assigned to the user in your network system.
  • Manual Pricing: When using the manual pricing formulas, this is the cost value that will be used.
  • Email settings: These should be self explanatory.
  • Credit Card settings: These will be supplied to you by Payment Logistics, if your site is using their system.
  • GFI FaxMaker User Name: This is the user's name in the GFI system.
  • Workflow: The Workflow, if any, that is assigned to this user.

Actions

  • Copy Security Settings From: If you already have a user set up with the security you want to use, you can use their settings to assign security to a new user. This feature to also be used to reassign security settings to a user that has been promoted, demoted, or reassigned to a different department.
  • Copy Customization Settings From: This works just like the security setting listed above, but pertains to the user's screen customizations.
