System Requirements

Microsoft SQL Server

Acclamare will only run on SQL Server 2008 or later. Please consult the documentation of your chosen version for hardware requirements.

Acclamare Middle Tier Server

The Acclamare middle tier software can be run on a desktop or server, although it is highly recommended that the software be installed on a server. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 is required regardless of which operating system you choose. Please consult the .NET Framework 4.5.2 System Requirements for operating system and hardware requirements.

Acclamare Client

The Acclamare client software also requires the .NET Framework 4.5.2. Please consult the .NET Framework 4.5.2 System Requirements for operating system and hardware requirements.

Acclamare Command Center

The Acclamare Command Center software also requires the .NET Framework 4.5.2. Please consult the .NET Framework 4.5.2 System Requirements for operating system and hardware requirements.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you server is ready for the installation of Microsoft SQL Server. Brent Ozar Unlimited has a very useful checklist that can help you prepare your environment for installation.
  • Install your chosen version of Microsoft SQL Server and apply all current service packs and updates.
  • Install the .NET Framework 4.5.2 on every machine that will run any Acclamare software.
  • Create a network shared folder that will hold client upgrade files. Ensure that each client workstation can reach this folder and has read permission, at a minimum. You will need to create one folder for each company that the Acclamare client software will be accessing.
  • Create a network shared folder that will hold Command Center upgrade files. All of the instructions that apply to the client upgrade folder also apply to this folder.
  • On each client workstation, create an installation folder for the Acclamare Client. If you plan on using Windows Terminal Server for remote client connections, create an installation folder for each user; do not share this folder with multiple users.

Installation

  • Obtain a copy of the Acclamare Installation and Upgrade Wizard.
  • Execute the Acclamare Installation and Upgrade Wizard.
  • On each client workstation, locate the installation folder (created above) and add a copy of the Acclamare Launcher to it.
  • On each client workstation, run the Acclamare Launcher. Follow the instructions on the screen and the launcher will automatically download the rest of the relevant client files.
