Purpose
Unlike other settings in Acclamare that are stored either at the user or company level, these settings only apply to the specific workstation on which the desktop client is being run. These settings are independent of the user or company and may vary from one workstation to another.
Shipping Configuration
This area is used to configure the three integrated shipping solutions. Acclamare supports automated manifesting and tracking label generation with UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and USPS (via an application called Endicia). This segment of the screen allows the user to specify the folder that Acclamare will use to communicate with each solution. Acclamare uses these folders to generate files that the corresponding solution reads in order to facilitate and automate the shipping process. Acclamare also reads files that these solutions place in the folder to import tracking number information as well as shipping costs.
Fax Configuration
This area is used to configure Acclamare's integration with GFI FaxMaker. FaxMaker will monitor the specified folder and send faxes according to the specifications contained in files that Acclamare places in the folder.
Item Images
This area is used to specify the folder (typically a folder located on your company's internal network) that contains image files associated to items that your company sells. These images can be viewed in the 'Item Images' section of 'Dynamic Inquiries'.
Documents
This area is used to specify the folder (typically a folder located on your company's internal network) that contains various files that are associated to particular transactions in your system. For instance, it may contain a scanned image of a vendor's invoice. These files can be viewed by clicking the 'Attached Documents ...' menu button in any screen that supports this functionality.
