Customer Document Settings

Please see Document Settings for a full description of this functionality.

This area give you an opportunity to create an override for an individual customer. Currently, you can add an override for any of the following customer related document types:

  • Acknowledgement
  • Customer Credit
  • Customer Invoice
  • Customer Quote
  • Customer Return
  • Customer Statement
  • Manual AR Documents
  • Packing Slip
  • Pick Ticket
  • Shipping Acknowledgement

You can override the following settings, any value not overridden will display "Not Overridden" and will use the settings found in Document Settings instead.

  • Path: You can provide a different path for the report. This is useful if your customer requires a specific format for their invoice, for example. You can create a custom report for this customer and then provide the path to that report here. This customer will use this custom report while all other customers will receive your standard report.
  • Delivery Method: You can provide a different delivery method. Again, using the sales invoice as an example, if you send your invoices to your customers as an email, you can make an exception for this customer and print or fax the invoice instead.
  • Printer: You can provide a printer or a different printer from the default. This is used in two different scenarios.
    • In the first scenario, the default document is not printed. In this case you will override the delivery method to "Print" and you will also need to provide a printer.
    • In the second scenario, the default document is printed, but for various reasons you need this customer's documents to be sent to a different printer.
  • Email Address: If you don't want to follow the standard hierarchy for email addresses, you can provide an email address that will always be used when this document is emailed.
  • Fax Number: Similar to the email address, you can provide a fax number that will always be used.
  • Number of copies: You can set a different number of copies from the default setting.
